Are you a reborn artist too?

My life changed when I found art…

while working as a software engineer in Canada about ten years ago.

I thought I knew exactly what I wanted: a nice career and a comfortable life. However, I wasn’t happy even with all the comfort in my life.

I had to make immediate changes; “taking time to figure it out” was no longer an option given the rapid decline of my mental health.

“Don’t wait for the perfect moment.”

Art saved me.

Since then, I’ve moved to Seattle, WA, and committed myself to this new path.

For the past eight years, I’ve taken evening classes at the Gage Academy of Art while working as a software engineer.

I’ve pushed through self-doubt, kept showing up, and kept creating. I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

“Take small steps. Keep going.”

Pursue your dreams fearlessly.

Thank you for visiting my corner of the internet. This site is still small, but I’m building it slow and steady.

I’ll be sharing my reading notes as I study fine art in the Library. I plan to turn this space into a growing archive of learning, progress, and passion.

I don’t have an art degree, and don’t claim any expertise. What I offer is honesty, persistence, and a deep love for learning.

If you are like me—start now. Don’t wait for permission. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take small steps. Keep going.

Eight years ago,

I didn’t know how to draw.

Today, I’m working on building a life as an artist with full intent to leave software engineering.

If I can do it, you can too.

Good luck!

And thanks for reading.
