Sorted in the alphabetical order.
I really love his red chalk drawings as well. Categorized as a sculptor since that’s how I found him.
Jusepe de Ribera
Another great artist from the Baroque era.
My all-time favorite.
Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. Art has been a guiding light in my life, and I’m excited to share some of that light with you. The artists listed here, in alphabetical order, are the ones who inspire me most. While I’ve explored some more deeply than others, I see them all as my north stars — bright beacons that help me navigate this ever-winding path of creativity.
My goal in sharing these study notes is simple but meaningful: to inspire fellow artists and help save you time by offering a springboard — a sturdy place to leap from into your own artistic explorations.
Even though I don’t hold a formal degree in fine art, I’m endlessly fascinated by subtle technical details, a passion likely shaped by my earlier career in software engineering. I love uncovering those delicate layers — the kind of details that often hide in plain sight — and gathering hidden gems of wisdom along the way.
I especially admire artists with strong technical skills: their mastery of anatomy, drawing, painting, and sculpting is truly remarkable. It’s a rare thrill to find a sculptor whose pencil dances across paper as gracefully as their chisel shapes clay, or whose brush brings vivid life to canvas. For me, mastering all three feels like reaching the holy grail of traditional figurative art — a beautiful fusion of vision, discipline, and heart.
Learning these technical details feels like embarking on a treasure hunt wrapped in a puzzle. Every brushstroke, every carved line, holds a secret, like a glimmering clue on a map that leads deeper into the art. Each new discovery sparks joy, fuels curiosity, and gently pushes me forward on this creative journey.
So here’s to the joy of learning, the thrill of discovery, and the magic of sharing — may these notes be a lantern on your path, lighting the way as you chase your own artistic dreams.
